This website is maintained by Bill Smedley. I'm the son of the late Amert Wildern-Smedley.  My mother inspired and encourage me to work on the Wildern Family genealogy, but she never saw the Wildern website.  She didn't even know about the 'World Wide Web' and she never saw a web browser.

This website has been in existence for over twenty years. During that time the underlying parts have begun to depreciate, and some of the parts no longer work at all. Could you imagine a twenty-year-old car that wouldn’t need work? Even if you kept it in a garage and didn’t drive it, it would probably need some maintenance before you could drive it. In some cases, you might not be able to find a replacement part. That describes where I’m at trying to revive this website. It's important to me, so it will get fixed, but nothing in the website business has stood still. Some of the components and plugins I used need to be updated or replaced, and the antique template is no longer available, so there’s going to some changes in the future as the website is updated.
